Graduates who can see the big picture, reason through alternatives, present their point of view effectively will always be in demand. No other education develops these skills of synthesis and defense like classical Christian education.

Grades 10 through 12 are the most vital phase at the Academy, and the most unique. At most other schools, these grades are filled with more subject-matter-- more science, more math, more social studies, etc. Though we teach AP science, math, and other subjects with rigor, we realize that just filling students' heads is futile. How many of the facts you learned in high-school are still with you?

Our exceptionally gifted faculty guide students through our Letters course for 10 hours per week. This unique course develops minds trained to discern short and long term consequences in history and the ideas that led to them. They read classic books which we may have considered tedious in high-school. But when they are read in the context of the author's worldview, seeking to understand the ideas that are conveyed, and placing those ideas into the flow of history, the exercise is engaging and interesting. Students learn to synthesize large amounts of information and communicate the basis for Truth in any area.

During the student's three years, they will defend three major theses in three classes called "Summa".  They will also study the classic art of rhetoric which is then put to use through electives in journalism, trial advocacy, and drama.  The "Summa" courses also teach research and persuasive writing.

We require students to take Greek or have had Latin to graduate.  We teach Biblical Greek, which provides students with the understanding of the language in which the Bible was originally written.  Latin provides access to the core documents of Western civilization, culture, and theology.

Because our curriculum is more challenging, some parents ask if we accept transfer students. Because each phase of the program has a different goal, transfer students with strong academic backgrounds and strong parental support are welcome and typically do well. What may surprise students is how much fun we have in the process.
