Foundations Academy is a k-12 non-denominational, classical Christian school with a mission to encourage maturity in students as we unite faith and reason. The Academy was founded in 1995, was accredited in 2006, and presently has over 300 students. Our core curricular program includes the classical subjects of Latin, Greek, logic, rhetoric, theology and the great books. We also provide advanced math and science classes. Our students enjoy a strong music program, including a chime choir and orchestra, a house intramural program, interscholastic athletics, journalism, a successful mock trial team, and other programs. Our staff and teachers are dedicated to a culture where students are set apart by their eager desire to learn and their mature Christian character. The Academy plans to move into its new facility in 2009.

Boise, Idaho is on several “Best Cities” lists, including Forbes “Best Places to do Business” and Sperling’s “Best Places for Outdoor Activities”. Nestled against the Rocky Mountains at the edge of a high-desert plain, the city has a temperate climate with modest rain or snowfall. The “City of Trees”, as it is known, remains green as the Boise River irrigates the Treasure Valley. The city has an extensive network of wilderness biking and hiking trails departing from downtown into the mountains to the north. The nearby rivers are clear and clean, with abundant fishing. Skiing is less than 20 miles away. The City’s sports teams (Basketball, Hockey, Boise State University football, and baseball) provide opportunities for entertainment, as do the philharmonic, ballet, opera, and other arts programs. These factors combine to make Boise one of the fastest growing cities in the nation. People locate in Boise for the family-friendly atmosphere, low crime rate, low cost-of-living, and quality of life.
